Head Drums

Head Drums is making full kits using the same shell construction, thin stave, to create a new benchmark for tone and sensitivity. Shells are available from 8" to 24" in diameter. No stave makers are making all these sizes. Customers have commented that the 24" bass sounds like thunder and the drumset has incredible tone. Each drum has incredible articulation and very distinct pitch. I think its a whole new breed.

The photo labelled Coffee is a custom drum 14" dia x 35" high with single or dual head. The top head is mounted with a matching wood hoop, conga or djembe style and the bottom has a bearing edge for a head that can be played with a bass pedal, or left off to played like a conga. Again, the shell produces incredible sensitivity and tone.
