Joyful Noise is Seen and Heard at the Hollywood Show

“You have the best product at the Hollywood Show,” “Absolutely amazing. Unequaled craftsmanship. Bravo!” “The best snare I have ever played!” “The beauty of handmade ‘art’!” were just a few of the documented comments from attendees concerning the new and exciting snare drum collection from Joyful Noise Drum Company, Inc., featured at the Hollywood Custom and Vintage Drum Show recently held in Pasadena, CA, October 7-8, 2006.  Among the JNDC favorites at the Hollywood Show was the JNDC Tim Kae Original (TKO) Signature Snare, featuring “tailpipe” patina finish over brass metal shell with bright nickel-plated solid brass hardware and 2.5 mm hoops. “The TKO—Awesome!” “Monster Tone!” “The TKO is blessed!” effectively summed up the exuberant attendee preference for the JNDC TKO Signature Snare.

According to Curt Waltrip, JNDC President, “Joyful Noise Drum Company is based in Castle Rock, CO, just south of Denver.  One of our local area dealers, Tim Kae, Drum City and Guitarland, Wheat Ridge, CO, asked if we could custom make a drum to his specifications, which resulted in the Tim Kae Orginal, or “TKO” Signature Snare.  It features the JNDC revolutionary, seamless spun brass metal shell with sharp “bell flanged” bearing edges and crimped snare bed in a “tailpipe” patina finish.  The patina process changes the tone of the JNDC snare to give the TKO it’s unique sound.  The first thing you experience when you play the “TKO” is an unbelievable power and openness in its tone, which runs the spectrum of color and tonality! Given that we bright polish the shell, first, and then patina the shell, finishing by sealing the drum in a natural Carnauba wax, the shell is as close to the raw power of brass than any other drum we make.”
Add the bright nickel-plated hardware, 2.5mm hoops, and JNDC patent pending revolutionary “one touch” strainer (throw off) system, and you have another “modern collectible”.
The JNDC snare drum collection was launched in May 2006 at the Chicago Vintage and Custom Drum Show where the JNDC “Scrolled” Elite Model took the informal designation as “best in show” as the new “modern collectible”.  But at the Hollywood Show, “The TKO rules!” stated another enthusiastic Hollywood visitor.  For more information about the JNDC snare drum collection, visit the web site www.joyfulnoisedrumcompany.com.  You can experience the excitement of the JNDC snare drum collection up close and personal by visiting the JNDC booth at the upcoming PASICS Show in Austin, TX, November 7-8, 2006, www.PASIC.com.
